On Sunday, March 16, 2025, a new milestone for Kendari City was marked with the groundbreaking ceremony of the Mandiri Kendari Building. This historic event was attended by the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, Andi Sumangerukka, along with the President Director of Bank Mandiri, Darmawan Junaedi, as a demonstration of support for regional infrastructure development. Also present were local government officials, Bank Mandiri executives, and the CEO of Alien Design Consultant, Hardyanthony Wiratama, as the architectural consultant for this project.
